It linked one small file and generated C for the first time. Tracing support works. There's still a strange bug with passing the compiler arguments, I wonder whether I'ld need to do a strcpy on the argument list of main? Fixed the latter bug, I patched the overflow region now for good in the sources.
Replaced the generic list text comparison with a specialized version. (For a comparison of text the generic version calls the text compare, which calls the list compare, which for each char calls the char compare, which for each compare called the int compare. That might have been overdoing it.)
Recompiling....
